Description:Framework for building simulation applications for the grid.
Abstract: GridSFEA (Grid Simulation Framework for Engineering Applications) is a framework for rapid development of end-user grid applications. The technologies employed are: Java, Eclipse plugins. The plugins of GridSFEA allow for both low-level grid operations (GridFTP file transfer, GRAM job submission, CREAM job submission, JSDL job specification) and for high-level, domain-oriented operations (parameter studies, handling of simulation scenarios on the grid, remote preview of simulation results etc.). Applications built on top of this framework are capable of inter-operating with different grid middleware: Globus Toolkit (5.x, 4.x), gLite 3.2. Scientific domains where GridSFEA-based applications have been used so far: computational neuroscience, computational fluid dynamics, biomarker discovery and validation, classification tasks.
