Name:KOPRA
Description:Karlsruhe Optimised and Precise Radiative transfer Algorithm
Abstract:The Karlsruhe Optimized and Precise Radiative transfer Algorithm (KOPRA) is a FORTRAN90 computer code for atmospheric radiative transfer modeling in the mid-infrared spectral range. It has been developed as self-standing algorithm including all relevant physics from the troposphere to the thermosphere for the atmospheric composition retrievals from the MIPAS instrument onboard ENVISAT experiment. It was adopted for the particular case of IASI instrument onboard MetOp and is used on the EGEE-grid for the atmospheric composition retrievals from IASI/MetOp measurements. KOPRA is used according the license agreement between Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH where it was fist developed and Laboratoire Inter-universitaire des Systèmes Atmosphériques who continues to develop and who applies this code on the EGEE grid.
