Description:A Particle Method for a Reaction Diffusion System
Abstract:We are developing a method to solve numerically a nonlinear Reaction-Diffusion system using a particle approximation of the solution. <br>Particles are approximated using Gaussians or, to improve the spatial accuracy, super-Gaussian or splines.<br>
The time is advanced using operator splitting (i.e. diffusion terms and reaction terms are treated separately) either implicitly by the Peaceman-Ratchford scheme, or explicitly with a time-adaptive scheme.
